This Privacy Policy explains how FormatKit ("we", "us", "this website") handles information when you visit and use our tools. We designed this website to collect as little data as possible.

1. Tool inputs are processed in your browser

All text you enter into our tools (JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, SQL, CSV, passwords, hashes, etc.) is processed locally by JavaScript running in your browser. Your input is never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers. When you close the page, the data is gone unless you choose to copy it somewhere yourself.

2. Information we collect

We do not require accounts and do not collect names, email addresses or other personal data through the tools themselves. The limited information that may be processed includes:

• Technical data from your browser: when you request a page, your browser and network automatically share standard information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Like most websites, this information may end up in server or CDN logs and may be used for security and traffic statistics.
• Information you send us voluntarily: if you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them only to answer you.
• Local storage: your cookie consent choice and interface preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device.

3. Cookies and similar technologies
